The Director and Faculty Head is Dr. Fernando de la Pena who graduated from Centro Escolar University, Philippines in 1992.
Dr. D as he is fondly called by his patients and team mates, worked as a Dental Assistant in the LA area prior to receiving his License in 1996. This gave him the unique perspective of dentistry from two angles, as a dentist and as an assistant.
Dr. D has great passion to share knowledge and over the years has trained many dental assistants and lectured multiple times in schools and other organizations in Manila.
His passion to share and teach is only matched by his love of learning and has attended many continuing education classes in USC, UCLA, Tufts and Harvard among others.
Dr. D is a member of the Los Angeles Dental Society, California Dental Association, American Dental Association, International Congress of Oral Implantology, US Dental Institute for Orthodontics and is an Associate Fellow of the World Clinical Laser Institute.
Theoretical classes are conducted on the 2nd floor of the De La Pena Dental Group building while laboratory and clinical instructions are done in the 2,500 sq. ft. dental office on the first floor.
It is our endeavor to provide individuals with the knowledge and technical proficiency that will allow them to become immediately employable in a dental office upon graduation. It is our goal to offer the best possible education in the shortest possible time consistent with proper educational procedures. Students meeting entrance requirements are accepted regardless of sex, race, age, marital status, religion and ethnicity or national origin.
